The goal of Mikka Primary School is
to raise the academic standards of children in the area, offer quality
education regardless of financial ability, furnish facilities for the local
youth, and provide employment opportunities such as teaching staff and
non-teaching staff, for the people of the area all within a self-sustaining
environment.
Mikka Parents Primary project currently
supports over 300 orphan through providing medical care, food, shelter,
education assistance and psychosocial support
Mikka Parents Primary is an
initiative founded by Mentor Volunteers to care for orphans from birth to adulthood. Mikka Parents Primary
comprises a home, Kindergarten and a primary school.
In line with the
government's policies, Mikka Parents Primary believes in
placing children in a family environment rather than orphanage centers Mikka Parents Primary is committed to share
knowledge and expertise with the people in the family and community.

It started operating in 2003, from pre-primary to primary
seven class
There were140 pupils among which 30 were orphans under the
management of 7 teaching staffs and 3 non teaching staffs plus their director.
Currently, the school has 310 pupils among which 37
are orphans, 13 teaching staffs, 5 non teaching staffs plus the same director
Armed with a fierce determination to make school available to children regardless
of financial ability, and her family acquired 1 acres of land and built a
temporally structures.
